High Performance Exterior Surface Coating – Maintenance Tips

To get the best results from the coating and to ensure the integrity of the warranty is protected, please ensure you follow the following maintenance guidelines:

  • Hand wash regularly (minimum monthly) using a pH neutral car wash/shampoo, preferably from the MotorOne range of car care as these have been specially formulated to be compatible with the surface coating.
  • Always wash the car in a cool shaded area.
  • Do not use any cleaning agents that contain waxes or polishes. Many polishes are abrasive (i.e. contain cutting agents), and can cause swirl marks, scratches and ultimately damage the coating.
  • Remove substances such as bird and bat droppings, tree sap etc as soon as possible. Apply the car wash/shampoo to the affected area neat (i.e. do not dilute), allow the substance to soften, then wash as usual. Alternatively, use the dry shampoo available from MotorOne.
  • Do not take the vehicle through any automatic car washes. Many use abrasive actions such as brushes and often dispense harsh detergents.
  • For full maintenance details, please refer to the Performance Coatings Warranty.

High Performance Fabric & Carpet Surface Coating - Maintenance Tips

To get the best results from the coating and to ensure the integrity of the warranty is protected, please ensure you observe the following maintenance guidelines:

  • Regular vaccuuming is important to remove dust and animal hairs (if present).
  • In the case of a spill, blot the liquid/substance with a clean white (non-coloured) absorbent cloth as soon as possible. Any residual stains present on the surface can be removed by using the MotorOne Fabric Stain Remover – this should be applied by spraying the cleaner onto the cleaning cloth provided with the cleaner and then applying to the stained surface. Repeat if necessary.
  • No other off-the-shelf products or cleaning agents should be used.
  • Please refer to the MotorOne product warranty for full care instructions.

High Performance Leather Surface Coating - Maintenance Tips

To get the best results from the coating and to ensure the integrity of the warranty is protected, please ensure you observe the following maintenance guidelines:

  • Remove any dust and animal hairs by using either a good quality dusting cloth or mitt, then wipe with a damp cloth.
  • Remove scuffs/stains immediately by using a damp cloth.
  • Remove ink/biro marks using MotorOne Ink Removing Sachets – these need to be used as soon as possible after the spill or mark occurs. If not removed quickly, ink is much like a tattoo and will remain permanently on the surface.
  • Do not use any other leather restoring products.
  • Please refer to the MotorOne product warranty for full care instructions.
